A dry red wine of exceptional quality, made from the Merlot grape variety. Aged in barrique barrels for 24 months, made from the highest quality oak, which gives a special tone to the taste and aroma. The wine is dark red in color with a complex aroma of black currant, sour cherry, prunes with hints of chocolate and a balanced fruity taste of blackberries, cherries and vanilla.
Merlot is a red wine grape variety. This French variety is native to the Bordeaux region. It thrives in clayey-lime soils. It is a moderately to very vigorous variety, moderately susceptible to disease, sensitive to low winter temperatures and spring frosts. Fertilization is not always the best, where in certain climatic conditions there is a risk of flower shedding and clusters becoming loose.
The higher alcohol content and longer aging in oak mean that the Merlot barrique selection of our winery is richer and full-bodied, so it goes better with richer food. The ideal choice is red meat, because the tannins from red wine soften the proteins from the meat, which contributes to improving the taste.
