Returning to our roots,
let us have a traditional first meal.
Having decided to add a breakfest experience to our daily offer, we searched for inspiration all around us, from Majevica mountain and our own Bukvik, where we found inevetable burek. Traditional local saying goes that, a man who owned a cow and a field was considered a wealthy person. As long as you produce your own flour and milk, with water and salt, you can never be left hungry.

“Carpaccio” as a dish first appeared in Venice. Countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo demanded from her head chef Giuseppe Cipriani to prepare a dish of raw meat, which was not steak tartare. The resourceful Giuseppe cut the beef fillet into thin slices and arranged them in a row. The dish was later named after the painter Vittore Carpaccio. At the time the dish became popular, an exhibition of his paintings was going on. His favorite colors were brick red and beige tones, or the colors of carpaccio.

ABOUT TRUFFLES
Truffles are the most prized and expensive edible mushrooms in the world. There are several hundred different types of truffles, of which only about a dozen are edible. Truffles grow in forests, in the ground near the roots of trees. They are really hard to find, which is why people who hunt truffles bring specially trained dogs with them that can find them by smell.
