Wine made from the Merlot grape variety that grows on the slopes of Majevica. The aroma of the wine reveals fresh notes of forest fruits with the dominant aroma of blackberries and raspberries, while the taste captivates with a light fruity acidity that leaves us with a long-lasting feeling of raspberry compôte.
Merlot is a red wine grape variety. This French variety is native to the Bordeaux region. It thrives in clayey-lime soils. It is a moderately to very vigorous variety, moderately susceptible to disease, sensitive to low winter temperatures and spring frosts. Fertilization is not always the best, where in certain climatic conditions there is a risk of flower shedding and clusters becoming loose. Muscat Hamburg is a red table grape variety, originating from England. This variety has moderate to high vigor, is susceptible to diseases. The berries in the cluster do not ripen evenly. This variety is used to make high-quality rosé and red wines. It is also an excellent raw material for making very high-quality Muscat grape brandy.
Rose wine is for every day and every occasion, because it has the freshness of white wine and the fruity character of red wine. Due to its versatility, it goes well with different phases of the meal, as an aperitif, with main courses or with a fruit dessert. It pairs well with light meat dishes, fish, salads and cheeses.
