The character of this wine comes from the grape variety Merlot, providing it with a piquant pink color reminding you of the one of a smoked salmon, whilst the structure of its aroma comes from Muscat Hamburg variety.
Grape variety
Muscat Hamburg is used both as a table grape, but also as a raw material in making a light, dry red wine with muscat based aroma. In France, it is still out of mercy, since it has been grown mainly as a table grape. The vine is very strong, and yields of this variety have been great. Bunches are large, cylindrical-conical, and not so compact. Berries are big, irregularly round, more of an oval shape.
Tips
Our Rosé made from Merlot and Muscat Hamburg varieties is a dessert, dry, light blush wine which can be consumed as an aperitif along with sweet flavor meals, dried and fresh fruit.
